About Us

Are you trying (and struggling) to learn?

Are you trying (and struggling) to support a loved one in their learning?

We know the feeling. It’s why we’re here!

About the Wayfarers’ Learning Center

Too often, we are expected to learn alone. Public education struggles to meet the needs of all of our young learners; adult learners are often left on their own; people trying to support their loved ones don’t always have the tools or understanding they need.

The Wayfarers’ Learning Center is here for everyone. We truly believe that anyone can learn anything with enough time and support. Our mission is to provide learning support for as many people as possible.

About Our Founder

Founded in 2024, the Wayfarers’ Learning Center has been a labor of love from the beginning. Our founder, Rowan Oistad, is a math and physics teacher who has been working in education since 2010. Having witnessed the obstacles to learning for people of all ages for so many years, the Wayfarers’ Learning Center was born of Rowan’s desire to support those people. They want to de-mystify the learning process, support people through their educational journeys, and make learning accessible to as many people as possible.

Start where you are. We’ll help you get where you want to be.

A Note from Rowan:

Wayfarers’, in my mind, has been a safe haven from the moment of its conception. I love learning, and I want to share that with the world. I aim to create a safe space for anyone (and everyone) to learn and grow. I know how many people feel uncomfortable in learning spaces, who feel judged and belittled by those who are supposed to lift them up and support them.

I started the Wayfarers’ Learning Center in an attempt to share our collective learning expertise with those who can benefit from it the most. I welcome anyone who wants to learn, or support others in their learning, to join our community.

Welcome to Wayfarers’. I’m glad you’re here, and I’m so excited to learn with you.
