Resources
Sometimes you don’t have the money to spend on products and services for learning support. At the Wayfarers’ Learning Center, we get it. We’ve been there before, and we still want you to have the support you need.
We also know it can be difficult to find free resources that you can trust. We’ve compiled a few here to help you get started.
Can’t find what you need? Maybe we can! Put in a Request and we’ll see what we can find.
Our founder, Rowan, has a TikTok! Their page is dedicated to short, straightforward explanations of mathematics topics. See what they have available, and request a topic if you can’t find it.
A great resource for all students, but especially college students. Pauls Online Math Notes has a selection of detailed notes and practice problems for Algebra, Calculus I, Calculus II, Calculus III, and Differential Equations, as well as other resources. (Rowan has been using this resource since they were in college.)
Dr. Ernst, as well as creating some wonderful open source textbooks of his own, has done the work of compiling a number of trustworthy, open source (i.e., free!) math textbooks. Whether you’re working with a textbook that isn’t working for you or looking for a resource to start learning on your own, this is a great place to start.
Need to create documents with a lot of math? Struggling with formatting? LaTeX is a good way to go, and learning LaTeX doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Dr. Ernst has compiled resources for getting started.
